Our Ministries
We love kids at First Baptist!! Our number one priority is providing a safe and exciting environment for your children to learn about Jesus Christ. That's why all our staff and volunteers are background-checked and trained before they ever step foot in a child's space. We show your children that church is a safe place where they will be cared for by adults they can trust. Each Sunday your child can be part of a fun and interactive environment that teaches Godly values at an age-appropriate level. We have children's church each Sunday, which provides an opportunity for your children to learn about God on their level. We also offer an array of age based Sunday School classes.
If you are a student in 6th - 12th grades then we would like to invite you to join our youth group. It's an environment designed for middle and high school students curious about faith and eager to discover how a relationship with God through Jesus could change their lives, their schools, and our city. In First Baptist's youth group, students can expect a great time of fellowship and Bible-driven teaching. We’re dedicated to providing a safe place for students to connect with God, with other students, and with committed leaders that are dedicated to seeing students grow closer to Christ. Through relevant teaching, worship, activities and the occasional groups, we do our best as a team to create an environment where students will develop their faith in becoming the example to those around them.
American Baptist Women’s Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry, committed to encourage women and girls to serve God.
MOPS International encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders in relationship with Jesus and in partnership with the local church. MOPS International is a community of like-minded Christian believers who serve the mission of the organization as its representatives, including all of the directors, officers, employees and volunteers, each of whom are an integral part of the community. MOPS maintains this faith-based community as an exercise of its Christian beliefs and as an expression of these beliefs to the larger community. In addition, MOPS subscribes to the Christian belief that all of its activities should express and render service to God. At MOPS, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. Our acronym stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers” because we began in 1973 when a group of moms with young children banded together to share their lives and parenting journeys.
